As a fellow (yet not that great) guitarist, and also as a big Pythia fan, I was listening to the tracks on MySpace. I thought the guitar sound was pretty amazing and I was wondering if you could tell me what distortion pedals you use?
Thanks

All the tone you hear is from the Peavey 5150 amps the guys use. There is normally a Tubescreamer pedal in front of the amp but not for distortion, it is used as a boost to tighten up the low end and focus the mid range a bit more.

Wow... totally missed that question Em....
As Andy said, we both use 5150 mk1 heads and EMG pickups in our kit. Ross does use an extra overdrive and I punch up with a compressor stomp box. Other than that it's just chorus pedals and a bit o' wah from lil' old me.
I used to use racks of processors and digital effects, but you can't beat the sound of a tube amp cooking with gas!
