See you there Paul! I'll be in the area at around 5ish i think, sampling the local brew.

There's a couple of handy pubs just yards away from the venue Very Happy May well venture out for a beer myself as I'm staying in London that weekend.

Got my tickets now for the next 3 Pythia gigs (Fields of the Nephilim, Amberian Dawn and Dames of Darkness) so in a good mood Very Happy

Interesting to see the bands Pythia are supporting are so varied - Ministry, Fields of the Nephilim and Amberian Dawn are all completely different types of bands

Hello PyFans Shocked
A message for The Predator, do you know a good meet up pub in the Bush, preferably near the Empire.

There is a walkabout bar a few yards from the Empire, but the pub on the other side of it seems a better place for a drink (cant remember the name of it but as I'm there on the 11th I can check then - and sample the brews (purely to make sure they are suitable for pythia fans to drink you understand) Very Happy

For those who dont know where the empire is, the nearest tube stations are shepherds bush and goldhak road (its half way between them).
From Shepherds Bush tube (hammersmith line) then turn left out of the tube station, walk along till the lights and turn right. You'll see a grassy open area on your left and the empire is around 100 yards ahead on the right, with walkabout just before it and pub just after it.
From goldhawk road, turn right out of tube, walk 200 yards to traffic lights and turn left - empire is 50 yards ahead on left.

No problem L - I know it can be a nightmare sometimes trying to find a venue if you havent been before. SHould be an easy journey for you - Hammersmith line straight from Paddington to Shepherds Bush - just the long journey to/from Wales thats a nightmare on Worst Late Western.

Of course I'll check out the Ciders - shame its not a wetherspoons pub as they tend to have some good ciders - Old Rosie being a favourite of mine, and very drinkable at a mere 7.2% alcohol Laughing

I`m afraid I wuss out a bit there mate, I am not a All Hale the Ale Al Murray type.
I like those clear chemical ciders like Strongbow, so I know what i`m getting,
that would be not to p*ssed. I like to remember my night`s out, so I can bore people to Death about the best gig i`ve ever been to, I.E. the one i just saw Laughing
So if its clear an amber it`ll do.
If it`s cloudy with pips still in it, i`ll go for a clear bottled beer insread Smile

No problem. Remembered now, its an O'Neill's pub so should serve Strongbow or something similar (maybe Magners given the Irish link)

Yeah, the fact that the venue is only a few stops from Paddington was one major factor that made me go for it. I could have done without making a trek across London and getting caught up in security incidents at Kings Cross like last time!!

Worst Late Western? Never heard it being called that before, but it certainly sums up the company very well!

Got the Worst Late Western back from Cornwall on Saturday, it broke down half way to London and we all had to get off and get on another train. The service sucks and is so expensive!
