Seeing as we all like something shiny and new, I.E. PYTHIA. Laughing Laughing
I thought a thread for new found bands would be a nice idea.
To start off with I thought I`de put this lot on, see what you think then add your own. Razz

This Is Silentium
http://www.silentivm.com/
http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=8XraRtm9qNo

Although they have only played a handful of gigs outside Finland.
They asure me , on the next tour they will come here.
They have supported a number of well known home grown bands including Nightwish.
Looking at there gig history, it would appear they have been around since about
95-96.

Keltic Jihad

Female-fronted thrash/death metal band for those of you who like it brutal and angry. These guys manage to sound very agressive and very techincal, while Holly's vocals have that cold, steely quality that fits perfectly with the music. Their songs revolve around subjects of war and religious fundamentalism (especially titles like "Death in Baghdad" and "Terror Tactics"), as well as more personal subjects.

Keltic Jihad have caused a storm in the British unsigned metal scene, and have been confirmed for Bloodstock Open Air 2008.

http://www.myspace.com/kelticjihad

"I am rage incarnate, Sword of the enlightened
"Wrath of God" defines me - Holy Fire!
Twisted word of prophets justify my motives
Dreams of greater glory - Truth Denied!

Freedom now bleeds - Brought to its knees;
And paradise waits for those with the faith."

Both bands very good. I like them.

See what you think of this one. I think that they are excellent.

The female singer at times sound like Sharron from Within Temptation.

Dunwich

http://www.dunwich.it/

Medieval metal band. Infuenced by the tragic end of Dunwich, by the sea

This band has been around for quite awhile. I cant believe that they have not got further than they have.
Best wishes
Eddie

CRIMSON SUN.

http://www.myspace.com/crimsonsunband
http://www.crimson-sun.org/

My friends band. As you can see on their Myspace they're not exactly hugely popular, and have only toured a few places in Finland. Last night they added a new song to their profile "Sacred Betrayal", and i just love it! They're a young band, the eldest members are 20 years old, but they're starting to sound very good.

Oh, and their new demo was mastered by Mika Jussila at Finnvox Studios. That's pretty impressive if you ask me! Smile

Bloody hell, they sound a lot like To-Mera, down to the vocals! Smile I'm gonna plug them on a forum where I know a few To-Mera fans.

I was just looking at that blog. I wanted to join but I think it's a little far unfortunately. And I'm not sure if you want a minor in your band Wink Right now I'm looking for people to jam with for my project - my goal is to get a gig next year. I'm also trying to grow my fanbase (which as you can see is reeeeally small), but I think a bit more music making is involved there Rolling Eyes
